Winter Walk

This weekend my husband and I ditched the children :) and took a much needed woods walk. It was about 15 degrees but sunny and no wind. I had my new Carharts and was ready to roll! We walked our newly surveyed 20 acres and then slipped into Dad's adjacent woods. It was a great work-out! I didn't think we had enough snow to warrant the snow shoes but we forgot what the wind does out there. The sun and the sweat and the dream of things to come were just what we both needed!

You and your hubby are awesome trackers! That's some great wildlife there. I love the quiet of a snow-filled winter walk - especially if there is no wind.

What a good reminder of all the others creatures in the world - and of how beautiful winter can be even though it is cold and harsh in some moments. There are these kinds of lovely moments too.

Looks like it was lovely. We did the same thing, although it was around 5 1/2 acres...and no snow. Still a very relaxing nice thing to do with your sweety.
